the main part is:

1. To detect the ethernet card

1. download compat-wireless from http://linuxwireless.org/download/compat-wireless-2.6
2. tar -xjvf compat-wireless-2.6.tar.bz2
   cd compat-wireless*
   scripts/driver-select atl1c
   make
   sudo make install

3. restart your notebook

2. For wireless

1. sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source
   echo wl | sudo tee -a /etc/modules

for mobile broadband modem, alias usb modem

sudo apt-get install usb-modemswitch
